Tissue bath experiments for drug studies and herbal medicine; clinical audits

Current Research Projects:

Tissue bath and cell culture studies on herbs found in the Po Chai pills

Prospective Research Projects:
  • To investigate the cholesterol lowering effects of monascus purpureus (red yeast rice) on rats/ cell culture
  • To investigate other anti-spasmodic (apart from anti-cholinergic) effects of herbs found in Po Chai e.g. anti-histamine effects using tissue bath
Research Students:

Honours students ( Past)
